To strengthen our team in Bergheim (Salzburg), we are looking for a Sustainability Manager – Focus Project Management (f/m/d).

The Sustainability Management as part of the Corporate Strategy & Sustainability department works closely with PALFINGER Leadership on planning and executing the global PALFINGER Sustainability Strategy. We are supporting the organization with knowledge and drive cross-functionally the sustainability program.

• Project management / PMO: Help drive our sustainability program by orchestrating workstreams and creating coherence across the entire program. Support the development of targeted, strategically well-thought-out project concepts with clear milestones, deliverables and responsibilities. Use your knowledge of the logic of ESG rating agencies and investors and know their requirements for continuous improvement.
• Sustainability controlling: Track progress on sustainability KPIs. Build up internal knowledge on auditable sustainability related KPI definitions, calculation models and simulations. Collect all relevant information and data and develop internal reporting tools in Power BI. Support all departments to ensure consistent creation and use of the system and accurate data to pass external auditing.
• Program Steering: Support the steering of the PALFINGERs Sustainability Council and the orchestration of our global sustainability community.
• Training: Foster and accelerate Sustainability Knowledge across PALFINGER, developing and providing regular trainings to the different functions
• Learning: Keep up to date on developments in the field of ESG and Sustainability, with special focus on our industry. Identify opportunities and solutions for PALFINGER in terms of reporting, footprint calculation, environmental impact assessment and improvement, etc.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Business or similar and experience in Corporate Sustainability with advanced understanding and experience on Sustainability Strategy and Value Creation, GHG Accounting (GHG Protocol), Decarbonization Strategies, Sustainable Supply Chain, Sustainability Monitoring & Reporting, Sustainability Impact Assessment/ Measurement.

• Strong project management skills in cross functional and cross level collaboration to develop, agree and execute sustainability strategies with hands-on experience.
• Ability to work independently with effective problem-solving skills and excellent communication and influencing skills. Knowing when to reach out for support. Be pro-active, analytical and have a problem-solving mindset.

• Fluent English communication (verbal, written). Willing to help others, respects different cultures / approaches, recognizes the contribution of others.

Minimum yearly gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 50.286,18 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conform overpayment.
