We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission of: Pharmacovigilance Officer - VIE Contract (W/M)

Target start date: 1/06/2024

As Pharmacovigilance Officer VIE, you will be the primary responsible person for local management of pharmacovigilance (PV) data. You will ensure handling of PV data for the whole product portfolio of Sanofi Austria, received from various sources, and in compliance with applicable internal guidelines and procedures and the European and Austrian regulations. In the context of PV data management, you will closely collaborate with global PV, the global PV outsourcing partner, internal and external stakeholders including patients and Health Care Professionals - HCPs and the Austrian National Competent Authority. You will be responsible to compliantly track, record and follow-up on locally received PV information and handle inquiries from global PV teams. Additionally, the PV Officer VIE supports the Country Safety Head - CSH and PV team in all areas of the local PV system and acquires additional tasks and responsibilities along the course of the program, based on gain of knowledge and experience. The Pharmacovigilance Officer VIE is integrated into a highly qualified team and actively contributes to the maintenance of the local PV system and the continuous improvement of PV processes through teamwork and independent and solution-oriented action.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management of PV information from various sources, including intake, processing, tracking, follow-up with reporters
  • Internal and external communication
  • Reconciliation with internal and external partners
  • Support of the CSH and PV team in all areas of the PV system (e.g., local implementation of risk minimization measures)
  • Office management
  • Compliance with and implementation of regulatory and internal requirements and guidelines
  • Operating in a strictly regulated environment
  • Cross-departmental, cross-country and interregional networking and collaboration
  • Agile workload and time management
  • Connecting regulatory compliance with corporate business needs
  • Confident use of company systems and tools

Requirements:

  • University educational background
  • Studies in Life Sciences (medicine, pharmacy, biology, nutritional sciences or similar) are preferred
  • Previous work experience in pharmacovigilance, pharmacy, nursing or medicine are appreciated but not required
  • German is a must (mother tongue or fluent in speech and writing)
  • English (fluent in in speech and writing)
  • High team competence, solution orientation, ability to work under pressure, resilience, reliability, flexibility, communication skills, motivated and positive attitude
  • Structured work, time management, (self-)organization, independent work, high sense of responsibility, accuracy
  • MS Office, general adept handling of IT Systems
